December Workshop - Tags and Bags

Today was a great day for a workshop and we had a wonderful day making the Bags and Tags shown below (click picture to see details).

Below are close-ups of everything we worked on:

Supplies used:  Friendship Alphabet (available for purchase in January 2010); Just for the HolidaysHoliday Commentary; Jingle Creative Basics; White Daisy, Tulip, Juniper, Olive Black Inks and Cardstocks; Flurry dimensional elements; red sparkles (retired); Holiday Craft Buttons; Create-A-Shade paint; Juniper Reinker; Juniper and Cranberry ribbon; Pearl Connect Club stickons; prisma glitter; punches and Sizzix dies

When we did the Flurry Dimensional Element on the bag, we colored it with Create-A-Shade with Juniper Reinker and then glittered it while it was still wet.  It is just gorgeous in person!

Isn't that snowman box just the cutest thing?  What I lack in talent, I make up in punches and Sizzix dies!  :-)

Rest of Christmas Workshop Cards

Well I finally have the rest of my workshop cards finished only hours before the big event!  All in all I'm pleased but I really wanted to do a religious one or two but time was pressing and my brain wasn't creating.

Supplies:  Merry Pursuits SS; Olive and Cranberry CS and Ink; large white brads; Even Song Paper Pack; Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; SU Punch (Standard size card)

Below is a card I cased from Vicki Wiznuik--a very talented CTMH consultant from Canada with a few modifications of my own.

Supplies:  Snow Friends SS; Twilight CS & Ink; VersaMark & White EP; Aspen Paper Pack; Creme Brulee Marker; Prisma Glitter

This was one that I basically copied from the Fall/Winter Idea Book but with slight changes and there are a few things I would change on this but for tomorrow it will be the mock up.  :-)

Supplies:  Holiday Trinkets SS; Creme Brulee, Juniper, Tulip CS & Ink; Black Ink; Jingle Creative Basic Papers; Sparkels; VersaMark & white EP; SU Punch; Juniper Ribbon from the Creative Basic Paper Pack.

The one below was a copy of one done by Shannon Murdock--another creative CTMH consultant with slight modifications.

Supplies:  Evergreen SS; Twilight CS & Ink; Creme Brulee Ink; Aspen Paper Pack; CTMH snowflake buttons (retired); 2 SU punches; Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder

Hopefully, this will give everyone some variety.  Everyone gets to make 2 of each card.  I know I had fun making them!

Aaron Brown's Mini Card Kit

This weekend we did a mini card kit--an idea brought to us by Aaron Brown, a Close To My Heart consultant. You can see her 3x3 Card Set and Template here: It was a fun get together!! Below are two of the different cards I made.

Below is another card set that I made using the colors on the new episode of CTMH TV called Sensational Simplicity which you can see here. The episode is 16 minutes long. Worth the time to watch!

Colors for card above is Blush, Sorbet, Garden Green and Cocoa. Have a terrific Monday!

Gear Up! New Workshop

Is this just the cutest card ever! It was the creative genius of Vicki Wizniuk, a Canadian Close To My Heart Consultant! We aren't going to make that card for this workshop, but if you had the Gear Up stamp set you could!

This is a workshop that will show you how flexible CTMH stamp sets can be. I'm going to show you another way to use this stamp set (for girls only)! You probably already know what I'm talking about if you have watched the new episode of CTMH TV which can seen here. It's a fun episode about 15 minutes long. And, for those of you coming to my free workshop, I will post the projects--a set of mini notecards and envelopes in a cute little box.

National Scrapbooking Day Board Book Workshop

Here is my workshop for National Scrapbooking Day. It is a 12-page Board Book (by popular request). There will also be a Sunkiss Yellow gingham ribbon tied thru the center of the book making a bow on the outside spine of the book.

I created my Board Book using Sweet Pea Level II Paper Pack and My Stickease. I used this because I am going to be a grandma (again) at the end of November. But I LOVE the 4-sheet My Stickease packs because you get the Alphas & Tags besides the other stickers and, I get to use up my Breeze (which I love).

Specific instructions, can be obtained by clicking this link: http://www.scribd.com/doc/14957454/Board-Book-Workshop

Cupcakes Anyone?

My last workshop (on February 28th) was a customer appreciation workshop. I thought it would be fun to use some of the bulk B&T and make some lovely cupcakes! Oh my gosh did we have fun and don't they look delicious. Thank you Tresa Black for your wonderfully delicious instructions!! I thought I saved a picture of the one I created for this but my granddaughter Hannah decided that I made it for her and took it back to Butte with her. :-)

Scrapbook in a Box - SIAB

I have been trying to get all my instructions together and was going to make this one long post. Well, for today, I will post a picture of my Scrapbook in a Box made with the Retired My Reflections Level 2 paper pack - Autumn Treasures. I also used the My Stickease and various sayings for embellishment. The little tag says "Blessing" and comes from the My Stickease set and was mounted on Barn Red paper.

Some people call these explosion boxes. And when you see the pictures of it opening up, I guess I can see why....

And now, for the completely open layout. Note that there are 3 layers to this SIAB. Inner layer & lid in Desert Sand, middle layer in Barn Red and outer layer in New England Ivy. Anyway, instructions will be posted very, very soon....

And here is the bottom/outer layer before the layers were glued together...

Christmas Card

This is my first Christmas card for this year -- something not cased but my own Polish inginuity! This was for a Christmas card swap with my unit. I just wasn't as pleased as I could be. When I saw this set, I knew I had to have it, but I was thinking of a card that the stained glass was embossed on an acetate sheet, then glittered. But it is using current Close To My Heart (tm) supplies which include:
D1305 Gloria Stamp Set
Evensong Creative Basic Paper and Ribbon
Vellum, White Daisy CS, Colonial CS
Diamond Sparkles
Colonial White picture holder
Silver Embossing Powder
Cranberry, New England Ivy, Olive, white Daisy and Indian Corn Blue Markers. I will be publishing a glitter version so we can all oooo and ahhhh!
