Gimme Some Sugar Featured Paper Blog Hop

Welcome to our Featured Paper Blog Hop featuring the beautiful papers and stamps of GIMME SOME SUGAR!  We will be showcasing items from our Gimme Some Sugar Paper Pack with various projects created by talented Close to My Heart consultants so buckle up for a little ride.

If you are visiting from Shirley Ross' Blog then you are on the right track.  If not, you can start at the beginning with our hostess Haley Dyer's blog, or you can just continue as the hop does go around in a circle and you'll end up here.  Next check out Julie Scott's blog, but please feel free to check out my artwork before you go....

Below is a standard size card and I used the cardmaking set for Gimme Some Sugar.  I am really into the oranges this year (you should see my new car, a bright orange Subaru Crosstrek) and Tangerine color was just speaking to me!  And I just love the "whip it" saying.  LOL!

Papers:  Gimme Some Sugar

Next a picture showing the contrasts:

This is the inside of the Card:

And a close-up look at the front--paper pieced in the tangerine:

To create this card, I used Card Pattern #28 from CTMH's Make It From Your Heart Volume 2.

Make Waves Featured Paper Blog Hop

Welcome once again to our Featured Paper Blog Hop featuring Make Waves paper packs and stamps.  We will be featuring various projects created by talented Close to My Heart Consultants.  So make yourself comfy and enjoy the ride!

If you are visiting from Haley Bell Dyer's Blog, then you are on the right track.  If you wish to find the start of the Blog Hop, please start at Carol Loftus' Blog, or you can just continue as the hop does go around in a circle.  But if you continue on the hop, the next stop will be Cheryl Glass Arbo's Blog.  But please feel free to check out my artwork before you go....

Below you will find my project with Make Waves papers and the stamp of the month stamp set.  I fussy cut one of the Mermaids and the flowers from the decorative papers.  And I just thought black backgrounds would set the bright colors off perfectly.  This card is a standard size card.

When I started designing this card, I used the sketch from the Make if from Your Heart Blog free sketch article.  I started with this sketch but modified it for my purposes.

The insides:

Papers:  Make Waves Papers; Black and White Cardstock
Stamps:  S1802 Sunny Thoughts, C1685 Inspire
Inks:  Black Exclusive Inks
Embellishments:  Make Waves Sequins; Bashful Pearls (Ret.)
Other:  Punch for corners of card inside sentiments
