Easter Flashback Part 2

One little project from SVG Cuts that I had fun making was the little Egg Hut from Cottontail Village.  Mary and Leo of SVG Cuts was such an amazing team!  They were the true meaning of one plus one = three.  Anyway, Mary is an amazing designer and this little Egg Hut is no exception!  Here is my version done with Close To My Heart's Kaleidoscope Kit.

Truly is that just adorable!!  Here is what is on top:

And here is the back of this:

Papers: Kaleidoscope Workshop, Citrix Textured Cardstock (Ret.) Gypsy, Cotton Candy Cardstocks;
Stamps:  None.
Inks:  None.
Embellishments Z1986 Pink Shimmer Trim; Gemstones and Flowers from Hobby Lobby
Other:  Cricut Design Space

Hope you found this a fun project as I just loved putting it together!

Ready for Leprechans

Valentine's Day is gone and the season of Leprechauns is on it's way.  This year we are going to be ready for those little buggers.  Last year my granddaughter Mikayla came up with her own trap but didn't catch one.  So this year we decided to try SVG Cuts Leprechaun trap -- The Gold Coin Inn. This is a super template because you can get the .pdf for this free from Martha Stewart or buy the SVG files.  I'm lazy and I love my Cricut Explore and SVG files are so easy to import into Design Studio once you figure it out.  So here's my little Inn.  Click photo to see larger.

Here's the side view.  This is about 10 inches tall.

And last, here's a look at what's inside--the lure--gold coins!  So the Leprechaun will see the gold coins and climb up the stairs (still figuring that out).  When he reaches for the gold coins (hanging from the ceiling, he will fall in) and get stuck in the box.

Papers:  Clover Meadow (Ret.), Ponderosa Pine (Ret.) and Colonial White Cardstocks;
Stamps
Inks:  Sign was printed on deskjet colored printer
Embellishments Various from Hobby Lobby
Other:   Ek Success Border Punch; SVG Cuts Gold Coin Inn SVG File; SVG Cuts Celtic Knots SVG File; z3021 Scallop Embossing Folder

Hope you are getting ready for those little Leprechauns this season.  And if you catch one, let me know how you did it.  Happy Crafting!

More Cricut Fun for Halloween

Well making the Halloween Mini Album was quite the challenge!  But then I found this most adorable Jack O'Lantern from SVG Cuts Haunted Forest kit. I was originally looking to make a witch's hat; however, when I saw this adorable pumpkin face on the Jack O'Lantern, I thought this would be so much more fun!!

I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to import the .svg files into my Cricut Design Space program.  I did have a little trouble at first with the scoring lines but was able to figure this out.  I love my Pazzles Inspiration (which I first used to cut the scored pieces), but I love my new Cricut Explore (which is so much more quiet)!

The papers are from last year's CTMH Halloween papers called Scaredy Cat (of which I had a few clippings left over from the bulk papers).  So, my stamping group came by to make these for our October workshop.

Here's a closeup of the Pumpkin:

Next a close up of the Witches Hat (which is what I originally was looking for):

And next is a closeup of the flower on the Witch's hat.  It is made of 8 different types of flowers with the ends curled:

And a final look at that adorable little Jack o'Lantern:

 Some of the patterns from SVG Cuts are so adorable and look so nice dressed up with CTMH papers!  Here is the recipe:

Scaredy Cat Bulk Papers (retired) (2 sheets)
Scaredy Cat compliments (retired)
Black Cardstock (3 sheets)
Black Bulk Flourishes (while supplies last)
Gold and Silver Sequins
Bulk black stars

I have added this to the Heart 2 Heart Boo Challenge!

Be sure to stayed tuned for some more Halloween fun!
