Emporium Layout

This is a layout for my February Workshop. It is done with the Emporium Level II papers and the D1330-Connections stamp set.

Here is what the journaling that shows says: Mikayla and Hannah "Hair Today Gone Tomorrow" Hannah's hair was just getting too long and unmanageable. So Mom decided she was going to trim it. Of course, Dad was freaking out! So, while he was watching TV, Mom decided to lop off the hair when Dad was distracted! Mikayla got a little trim too! (We don't want to leave her out.)
NOW FOR THE HIDDEN JOURNALING:

The next morning Hannah comes running in to Mom and Dad's room with Mikayla's hair in hand and says: "You guys better get up! Mikayla is cutting her hair!" Mikayla said, "Well it was getting in my eyes so I cut it off."

Fortunately, it was only her bangs and fortunately because her hair is curly, it blended in perfectly!

Easter Eggs Already!

Here is my 8" x 3.5" card for the February Stamp of the Month. I went through several iterations of this and I'm not sure I'm happy with it yet but I've run out of time for our exchange.
It is 2 degrees here in Montana this evening and I'm wishing for a -20 (below). We have these beetles in our forest (Helena National Forest) and as I travel down to Butte to see my kids and grand kids, I look at all the trees that are dead and just sigh. I bet come summer they will be a huge fire hazard. So, I'm praying for a week of -20. They say that it will take around a week of 20 below to kill off the beetles. But, then again, today there were vigils for children lost to abortions all day. I reminded my Senator that it wasn't that long ago that many thought slavery was not a bad thing and that slaves were less than human. They also had no voice in government or the law to protect them either. Many thought that slaves could be tortured, abused, and killed because they were also less than human. Well, so to it is with those unique individual human beings aborted every day who are also thought of as less than human. Unique human beings that will never be replaced being taken from us every day by those who consider themselves not only more than human beings but think of themselves as gods because they have the power to terminate life. How very sad that those little precious souls will never get a chance to live. Mary, mother of God, pray for us!

DayDream Layout

This is my January Workshop on the Go. I finally got Mikayla's Birthday scrapped. She turned 4. The DayDream paper was perfect and I will probably use that to get Hannah's birthday scrapped. It is hard to imagine that those sweet baby blues are full of attitude! The last thing I still have to add to the layout is the journaling. The birthday cake embellishment lights up.

Birthday Wish Card

Tuesday was my granddaughter Hannah's birthday. She turned 7 years old! Oh my gosh she promised me she wouldn't get any older!! Well, I had to whip out a card and just love the set called A Birthday Wish (D1238). I got to use my Liquid Applique. Makes perfect Lamb Wool! Colors are Holiday Red and Cocoa (Ink) and I used the Birthday Bash Level 2 kit. The lamb's eyes are black mini brads and the embossed paper is one of the Cuttlebug embossing folders. The scalloped circle is a Cookie Cutter Die Set and the circle was cut with Coluzzle!
