Birthday wishes and Mojo Monday

I love when I have the challenge of creating birthday cards for friends and family!  Most of the time it will take a full day (if not days) to create something!  I made a few of the cards from the Ivy Lane card kit for Mother's day and still wasn't ready to put it away yet so when one of my friends birthday came up the other day, most of the supplies were still lying out on my craft table.

 

I was looking for ideas with card layouts when I opened up the new Mojo Monday newsletter.  Only once in a while when I'm off work do I get to play with Mojo Mondays.  This is Mojo #346 which looks like:

 

 

Well, I would say my card rather resembles that Mojo Monday:

This standard size card came from last week's MojoMonday sketch.  I just love the look of the bright popping colors with black background!  First, a small view of the sketch:

A second card I did, also standard size just went together in about 30 minutes (usually it takes me days staring at a blank canvas to create a card and even longer for scrapbook pages); however with the beautiful colors of spring and something I did a long time ago this came together so easily!

I like both of these pictures and couldn't decide from which angle I liked it better.  Tee hee....

Birthday Card Workshop

I can't wait until this Saturday for my April workshop.  We are going to be making a set of Birthday cards along with a little A2 Slant Lid Box to hold the cards.  The box is a template created by the incredibly talented CTMH consultant Vicki Wizniuk.  The fun thing I like about this workshop is that the birthday cards are one layer and quick to assemble.  The Fanfare Workshop On the Go is such a FUN kit and I just love the stamp set that goes with it.  It is SO versatile!  I have to give thanks on the cards to equally creative and talented CTMH consultants Melinda Everitt and Katy Donaldson--who had the original idea for some of these darling cards!  Well, here is what we will be doing:

These were so quick and easy, I'm thinking of adding maybe another card.  I hate to have the workshop get over too fast because it is also my monthly dose of getting together and socializing with some fabulous friends!
