April 2015 Stamp of the Month - Bokeh Technique

The featured stamp of the month is S1504 Typed Note--a set of 19 images. Below are the images in this stamp set that is available only thru April 30th. You can click on the image to see details.

What a perfect set for creating those masculine cards (that are usually more difficult for me).  My item is a standard size Father's Day card. I have been wanting to try the Bokeh technique -- something I saw on Splitcoast Stamper's site called Watercolor Bokeh.

Plus, it has been a while since I've have done a Color My Heart Color Dare.  You know, every once in a while you have to challenge yourself creatively.  The color dare challenge was to use Cashmere and Chocolate.  I didn't have any Cashmere so I substituted a close color:  Bamboo.

So, here is my card - a standard size Father's Day Bokeh Technique card.  After creating the Bokeh piece I decided to do a little random stamping on it as well.  So I used the Petite Perk set Kaleidoscope Blooms which is new with our Seasonal Expression 2 catalog just out April 1st.

And here's a little different view.

Papers:  Bamboo and Chocolate Cardstocks; Watercolor paper
Stamps: S1504 Typed Notes; Kaleidoscope Blooms Petite Perks

Here is a sample by Close To My Heart that shows a more feminine theme (so you know this is not just a masculine stamp:

and something a that could go either way:
