This month's Stamp of the Month is Around the Block. When I first saw this set I was baffled what to do with it but as time went on some very cute ideas emerged (mostly from other consultants). This first card was done with water color pencils and the use of Moon Doggie papers and colors are Indian Corn Blue and Barn Red. This card is a 5" x 7".
Now, "hop" on over to Paige Dolecki's Blog - to see her lovely work! If you get lost on the Hop, or find links that aren't working, see list below. Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteVery cute! Nice use of that Moon Doggie paper - I never would have thought of that, but it looks super!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Oooo....I just got an idea (imagine that...LOL)...this perspective makes the houses look like single story houses. I could see trees added and you'd have a whole scene for a scrapbook page!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the inspiration.
Love what you did with the water color pencils! Beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteCute card Kathleen!

ReplyDeleteI really like how you just used the tops of the cards :) Great perspective!
ReplyDeleteLove the perspective this card offers....I like not seeing the whole house. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, using just the roofs!
ReplyDeleteVery nice card!!!
ReplyDeleteYou did a real nice job coloring your houses. That is what I struggled with using this stamp set. But I think your idea of using colored pencils instead of markers is what made the difference. The colored pencils are a much more 'muted' look, while the markers tended to be too dark and 'harsh.'
ReplyDeleteawesome job - love the card and colors really make it pop!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Love your choice of Moon Doggie papers!
ReplyDeleteFun card - love the housetops - TFS!
