Scrapbook in a Box - SIAB

I have been trying to get all my instructions together and was going to make this one long post. Well, for today, I will post a picture of my Scrapbook in a Box made with the Retired My Reflections Level 2 paper pack - Autumn Treasures. I also used the My Stickease and various sayings for embellishment. The little tag says "Blessing" and comes from the My Stickease set and was mounted on Barn Red paper.

Some people call these explosion boxes. And when you see the pictures of it opening up, I guess I can see why....

And now, for the completely open layout. Note that there are 3 layers to this SIAB. Inner layer & lid in Desert Sand, middle layer in Barn Red and outer layer in New England Ivy. Anyway, instructions will be posted very, very soon....

And here is the bottom/outer layer before the layers were glued together...

Christmas Card

This is my first Christmas card for this year -- something not cased but my own Polish inginuity! This was for a Christmas card swap with my unit. I just wasn't as pleased as I could be. When I saw this set, I knew I had to have it, but I was thinking of a card that the stained glass was embossed on an acetate sheet, then glittered. But it is using current Close To My Heart (tm) supplies which include:
D1305 Gloria Stamp Set
Evensong Creative Basic Paper and Ribbon
Vellum, White Daisy CS, Colonial CS
Diamond Sparkles
Colonial White picture holder
Silver Embossing Powder
Cranberry, New England Ivy, Olive, white Daisy and Indian Corn Blue Markers. I will be publishing a glitter version so we can all oooo and ahhhh!

So Bring on the Creativity!

Oh my gosh! I'm becoming a blogger. Blogging was definitely something I was never going to do, like I was never going to buy stamps or start scrapbooking or things like that.... But, as it is written in Eccl 3:1, "for every time there is a purpose" and today, my purpose is to start a blog.

Yes, life is like a bowl of stamps . . . each day starts new as a blank and with each new impression it can build to a masterpiece! Ha ha. Sounded good though, didn't it? So much for artistic philosophy!

OK. My hopes for this blog is to share things that I think are fun, creative, and have probably stolen from someone else. I come from the Creatively Challenged Clan, yes, the CCCs. I only hope that I have added enough of my own touches so that you don't know that it was YOU I probably stole it from. So stay tuned for up and coming CASES (you know -- "C"opy "A"nd "S"teal "E"verything).

Finally, if life's like a bowl of stamps, why was I short changed on creativity??
